To anyone reading this, I'm embarrassed to say that I put this project on hold for far too long. I got really involved in a D&D 3.5 campaign that seems to be on the verge of falling apart. Life in RealSpace has been busy, and I was just too burned out from my D&D 3.5 group's fall into entropy to really focus on anything creative for D&D. But I do miss working on this project, and I do miss AD&D, so I'm here again to let you know that I'm going to continue with it. What I will do is compile a modified version of these Encounter Tables into a series of adventure modules for publication. I'll probably use the OSRIC license for it. I won't give a specific time table for this, and plan to remain mostly quiet about it (for now), as I prefer to only discuss a project when it's at least 99% complete. But there we go. Expect to see some updates to this thread over the next week. And Happy Gaming! Big Grin
No problem, RealLife has a way of intruding on the important things. Smile

Welcome Back!

Thanks, Stormy. I must have been more burnt out than I thought, as I haven't even been posting at therpgsite very much lately either. More to come later on in the week. Smile

Hard enough to find time to game, harder still to find time to write about gaming...

I hear you. My group hasn't gamed for weeks, due to RealLife concerns, but we should be getting together pretty soon.

Well, you boys actually congregate quite close to my games. My live groups play in Framingham, but we often make characters at Bison County, in Waltham...

That's pretty cool. What games do you guys play?

RE: The Random Encounter Table Thread.
ok.
Those text blocks were getting ridiculous.

I'm a bit of a mutant, Lamb.
Celtricia is the setting I've run for the last 26-odd years. My current 2 live goups include Miston (14 years) and Igbar (8 yrs). The system is my own, and there is a thread for it here in the Citadel, or you can can look here.

So unlike many groups that switch of GMs and systems, we do really long-term games. There are a few 14 yr old PCs still in full active duty.

But I understand about the real life stuff interposing itself. The Miston group plays once a month, and Igbar plays every three weeks.

Celtricia, World of Factions, now celebrating 26 full years and still going strong...

Yeah, sorry about that folks. I am looking into a way to turn that off, I swear I set it when I installed the software, but only to a depth of three or something. I will keep looking and clear that up as soon as possible.

UPDATE:
Looks like we are not the only ones. Apparently limiting the nested quotes has been floating around the MyBB forums since 2006 or something, and they are including it in the 1.6.0 release, which is set to go beta in Jan '10. Until then, clear out the quotes you don't want, and I will poke around the code, as it seems to be self limited to 5 levels or something.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you. Smile I'm going to start updating and editing this thread soon, as I'm DMing a 1e/2e hybrid campaign at the moment, and I need to add more material. I'm considering creating a Random Treasure Table Thread in the next few weeks as well, so stay tuned.... Wink
