I will rely on pilot's luck, and start hitting buttons.

RE: [Derelict Delvers] Outpost
Come on Nell, remember you're training! I think to myself as I muster the courage to fire from behind my position of cover, can't let Pomru get vaporized by this madman. Can't let my team down!
Clacking my mandibles and twitching my antennae to make myself seem more menacing and terrible, I lean out just enough from my cover to fire at the madman. As I fire I scream at the top of my lungs to get his attention, "AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" ==================================================== OOC: Rolling 1d20 + 1 ( 14 ) + 1 = 15 Nell fires on the crusty old man using his Small Arms skill. RE: [Derelict Delvers] Outpost
The weapon stutters and fires with a terrible cough flame, something large and metal but too fast to see spurts out of the barrel and the gun rises against your aim. Something solid hits the old man in the chest and therr is a wet grunt as he slides to the floor. Above his body there is a metal ringing as the metal somthings fire and ricochet around the room one hits a corpse and it falls over another whisses by Pomru's head...but...
Pomru's luck holds true as the slug misses and he presses a button and warning lights engage. "Plasma Purge Sterilization in 60 Seconds" rings the voice of some distant computer. The doors begin to seal and vents kick out some form of steam. Lights flicker red and yellow. "Plasma Purge Sterilization in 59 seconds.." |

"What does that mean?!" I scream at Pomru as I run over to Syrio's body.
I jam the odd pistol in my belt as I bend over and grab Syrio under his shoulders with both sets of arms and starting dragging him towards the door. "The Dude abides." |

"Haven't the vaguest idea what that is," I yell over the noise, "But this would be a good time to get back to the hot rod and get the hell out of here!"
Grabbing the other half of Syrio, I direct Nell to the door we entered this nightmare from to effect our escape. RE: [Derelict Delvers] Outpost
Together you make it the hot rod just in time. The vehicle warms up and you move out heading away from the blast area. In moments the entire ship is consumed in a small nuclear fireball from within...
You make it a bit sunburned from the blast back to the Outpost, and pull in through the airlock. It is a tense moment while the scan you for diseases and radioactive materials but finally they let you in.... You've made it, safe, yet you never reached the Mines of Madness which lay in wait with mysteries a plenty waiting to be uncovered. Alright, feedback? I've got a new draft of the rules coming next month with a few changes, but I'd like your suggestions. Anything I can do to improve the PBP experience as well? |
